Our Shavuot Services, Programs, Dinner and Celebrations will take place Sunday evening, June 1st through Tuesday evening, June 3rd. Join the clergy for an exciting Shavuot celebration of prayer, learning, songs, food and, of course, ice cream!
Sunday, June 1st: Tikkun Leil Shavuot “Resilience and Joy in the Face of Adversity”
in the Crystal Ballroom
7:00 p.m. – Minhah

7:45 p.m. – Learning Session led by Rabbi Stecker and Rabbi Schweber
During these difficult times, we will celebrate Shavuot by tapping into two of our people’s ancient superpowers. We will explore Jewish sources discussing how resilience and joy help us face communal and personal challenges.
9:00 p.m. – Festival Ma’ariv Service
9:20 p.m. – Enjoy dairy desserts, coffee and tea
9:30 p.m. – Rabbi Gordon Yaffe of Congregation L’dor v’dor Oakland Little Neck Jewish Center will share his favorite teaching from the tradition. Singing with Hazzan Shamash. We will join our voices together in singing songs that lift us up.
Monday, June 2nd – Shavuot First Day
9:15 a.m. – Festival Shaharit Service followed by kiddush
8:15 p.m. – Festival Minhah and Ma’ariv Service
Tuesday, June 3rd – Shavuot Second Day
9:15 a.m. – Festival Shaharit Service including dedication of Memorial Plaques and Yizkor followed by kiddush
4:30 p.m. – Shamash’s Noshes Ice Cream Party – 11 Robbin Way – It’s not Shavuot without ice cream!
5:00 p.m. – Minhah at Shamash house and Zoom
8:45 p.m. – Ma’ariv and Havdalah at Temple Israel
