Temple Israel Players

For more than 40 years, Temple Israel Players has staged high-quality performances of classic Broadway musicals in additional to the occasional musical revue.  The troupe is comprised solely of Temple Israel members, ages 8 to 88, who gather for rehearsals each winter and perform on a Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in the early spring on the stage of the Crystal Ballroom.

The troupe (consisting of producers, actors and stage crew) works under the direction of professional stage and musical directors.  The shows are performed before a paying audience of several hundred, including members of the temple, the larger Great Neck community, and friends and family.  Recent shows have included Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Mame and My Fair Lady.

We welcome any TIGN member – regardless of talent – to come down and audition and join our close-knit family! Everyone who auditions will be cast in the show.  To learn more, reach out to Debbie Volk or Mark Putter at templeisraelplayers@gmail.com.
