Our Shavuot Services, Programs, Dinner and Celebrations will take place Tuesday evening, June 11th through Thursday evening, June 13th. Join the clergy for an exciting Shavuot celebration of prayer, learning, songs, food and, of course, ice cream!

TUESDAY, JUNE 11TH: Tikkun Leil Shavuot – Living in a Post October 7 World
in the Crystal Ballroom

7:00 p.m. – Minhah
7:15 p.m.Dinner (Dinner is free and generously sponsored by Jacqueline and Hilbert Eshaghpour).   
7:45 p.m. Learning Session led by Rabbi Stecker and Rabbi Schweber.

Living In a Post October 7 World. The events of October 7 and their aftermath have had seismic repercussions for Israel and the Jewish people. As is often the case, the wisdom of our ancestors can help us to navigate the challenges we face today. Rabbis Stecker and Schweber will guide us through a discussion of key texts that can guide our thinking as we face the harsh realities of this moment.

9:00 p.m. – Festival Ma’ariv Service

9:20 p.m. – Enjoy dairy desserts, coffee and tea.

9:30 p.m. – Singing with Hazzan Shamash and Rabbi Stecker and Rabbi Schweber.

Shira b’Tzibur – the Time-Honored Israeli Practice of Communal Singing. Israelis have always used singing as a source of emotional support. Hazzan Shamash and our rabbis will share new and old songs (including well-known classics!) that have brought inspiration to Am Yisra’el for decades.

5:00 p.m. – Festival Minhah at 11 Robin Way, Great Neck, NY 11021 and on Zoom

9:00 p.m. – Ma’ariv and Havdalah
