Dr. Andy Katz, clinical psychologist and member of Temple Israel
Dr. Andy Katz was on the scene as one of the first mental health professionals available to provide emotional support to first responders and survivors attempting to cope with the unfolding tragedy on 9/11. Dr. Katz, a clinical psychologist working at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center at the time, was a member of their Disaster Response Team. In 2001, she was assigned to help first responders and survivors manage what they were experiencing after the Twin Towers fell. She will tell of her experiences and stories from survivors as the featured speaker at this year’s September 11th Memorial Service
