Kristallnacht Commemoration

When

November 7, 2021
7:00 pm

November 9th is known as Kristallnacht – the night of broken glass.   The massive pogrom on Nov. 9, 1938, marks when the forces of anti-Semitism grew strong enough to cause the Shoah.  The Temple Israel Shoah Remembrance Committee invites you to commemorate Kristallnacht as we continue to hear witness from survivors.

On Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 7pm on TIGN ZOOM, we will hear from Erna Frischer and her daughter, Rita Hall.  Erna is 102.   She fled to Palestine in 1938, at the age of 19, never to see her parents again.   She will tell her story of coping with loss and being part of rebirth.

The October issue of the Voice has an article about Erna Frischer and the Kristallnacht Commemoration.

Please check the weekly emails from Temple Israel or call the synagogue office for the Zoom link.
