Temple Israel’s Endowment Fund was established many years ago to help ensure the synagogue’s long term financial viability by providing funds annually that can supplement members’ dues and our other fundraising activities. Our Endowment Wall, located next to the Sanctuary lobby, displays the names of donors who have made significant gifts to our Endowment Fund. Beautiful beveled-glass plaques commemorate the donors, some of which include dedications. There are three types of plaques with gifts beginning at $18,000. For more information, please contact Jamey Kohn (516-482-7800 x1103 or jkohn@tign.org).
A Yahrzeit plaque commemorates the passing of a loved one. Plaques are dedicated on the day yizkor is recited during Shemini Atzeret, Passover and Shavout. These brass plaques are located in our Sanctuary vestibule and Chapel; the contribution for a plaque is $750.00. Contact Kathy Recckia (516-482-7800 x1109 or krecckia@tign.org) for information.
