Covid-19 Protocols at TIGN

released December 17, 2021

Dear Friends,

Given the rapid rise in local cases of Covid-19 and the new more transmissible variant, effective immediately, all people entering the building for Shabbat Services or otherwise will be required to remain masked at all times. In addition, adults 18 and over are also asked to provide proof of full vaccination to attend Shabbat Services. The present definition of full vaccination is at least 2 doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or at least one dose of Johnson & Johnson.

Guests are asked to please present their vaccination identification at the building entrance or, preferably, submit this information in advance to the main office by using any of the following methods:

  1. Click here and complete the online form
  2. Email Jamey Kohn: jkohn@tign.org
  3. Fax: 516-482-7352
  4. Present your card in person to the main office

Our in-person congregational Kiddush will be temporarily suspended for the near future.
Most weeks we will offer something to take home.

The above protocols will be re-evaluated regularly in consultation with our Health Advisory Committee.

Should you have any questions, please contact our Executive Director, Jamey Kohn at 516-482-7800 x1103 or jkohn@tign.org.

Covid-19 is no longer new to us. We know how to mitigate our collective risk and, more importantly, how to support one another. As always, the clergy and synagogue are a call or email away for whatever you many need. We join together in praying for a healthy and happy secular new year.

Shabbat shalom,
Temple Israel Leadership
