Join TIGN for a Visit to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum on Veteran’s Day
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 11th, 2026, for a meaningful visit to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in Washington, D.C. This trip is particularly significant, as the museum’s permanent exhibit will be closing for two years starting in January.
Program Highlights
* Guided Tour: Former TIGN member and USHMM staff member Amy Katz Kardon will give our group a private tour of the museum.
* Free of charge (except for transportation, an optional overnight stay, and food).
* Featured Presentation: We will hear from Holocaust scholar Scott Miller, author of Refugee Denied: The St. Louis Passengers and the Holocaust.
Travel and Logistics
Please make your own Amtrak and hotel arrangements. To help you coordinate your plans, we have identified two travel options:
* Option 1 (Overnight): Join Rabbi Schweber, who is departing from Penn Station on Tuesday, November 10th, at 3:05 p.m. He will be staying at the at Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf and departing from Union Station on November 11th at 5:05 p.m.
* Option 2 (Day Trip): Join Ellen Widawsky, who is traveling on the 6:02 a.m. train on Wednesday, November 11th.
