Guest speaker: Willa Rosenbach Morris

Willa Rosenbach Morris was raised in Queens, NY. She attended a liberal yeshiva that permitted girls to study Talmud, though it is possible that Willa was often secretly reading a novel that she had hidden between the pages of her text while the rest of the class learned some law code or other—Willa is, for some reason, unclear on those details. After switching to a public high school, Willa went on to study English literature, earning her Bachelor’s at SUNY Stony Brook, her Master’s at the University of Guelph in Ontario, and her MFA in fiction at Columbia. Willa and her husband Eric live in Great Neck, NY. They have two children and three grandchildren. This is Willa’s first published novel, with more novels and short story collections to follow soon.
