Guest speaker: Meryl Ain, Writer, Podcaster and Career Educator
Meryl will speak about her new novel, Remember to Eat. The story collection takes its mother-daughter characters through almost a century of American Jewish life from the 1930s to the present as they navigate their changing roles through tumultuous times all within a changing society. Themes include patriarchy, technology, the changing role of women, the challenge of raising children, complex family relationships and what it means to be a Jew. She and her journalist husband, Stewart, live on Long Island.
