Yitzhak Sokoloff, CEO and founder of Keshet Educational Journeys, is dedicated to fostering understanding of Israel’s complexities among diverse communities. Issam Sa’adah, despite personal risks, advocates for coexistence within a Jewish majority State of Israel.
Having made aliyah from Boston in the 1970s, Yitzhak’s journey contrasts with Issam’s, who grew up in a Gaza refugee camp, taught himself Hebrew, and initiated dialogue with Israelis. After fleeing to Ramallah due to Hamas, their 20-year friendship symbolizes hope for peace.
They will discuss insights from Israel’s recent struggles and the American Jewish community’s relationship with Zionism, exploring future prospects for peaceful coexistence among Israelis and Palestinians. Young adults will have the chance to engage in a supportive environment.
