SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE
Dr. Sarah Bunin Benor will present on the topic of endangered Jewish languages, with a specific focus on Kashi and other Iranian Jewish dialects. Joining her will be Baruch College student Ashton Kahen, who will share insights from his work documenting his family’s native Judeo-Tuyserkani.

Dr. Benor, Vice Provost and Professor of Contemporary Jewish Studies at Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion, also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Linguistics Department at the University of Southern California.
