During her weekend Shabbat visit at Temple Israel, Rabbi Roth will discuss her own journey as a woman ordained as a Conservative rabbi within the first few years when being a female rabbi was even a possibility.
Rabbi Roth was the Director of Congregational Schools at Temple Israel from 2012 to 2023. Her visit is sponsored by the Peticha Fund, a fund whose goal is to promote the study of Jewish texts, Torah and Israel by girls, women and families at Temple Israel. The fund was established by Rebecca and Sassan Sassouni.
