Ryan played college basketball at Yeshiva University. \; As a s enior in 2021-22\, Ryan was the highest scorer across all levels of colleg e basketball averaging 27.1 points per game and was named NABC Division II I National Player of the Year. He led YU to one of the longest winning str eaks in NCAA Division III men's college basketball history.\n\nRyan was se lected by the Cruise in the first round of the 2022 NBA G League Draft\, a nd is the first orthodox Jew to play in the G League.
