Programming
Temple Israel of Great Neck offers opportunities throughout the year for worship, learning, cultural and intellectual enrichment, and entertainment.
A broad range of programs meets the needs of our diverse Temple population, from programs designed for toddlers to those aimed at seniors, plus everyone in between.
Whether your interests run to Hebrew literacy, history, politics, music, or cinema, Temple Israel's Institute for Lifelong Learning has something for you.
In addition, Temple Israel partners with JLearn, a UJA-funded adult learning initiative, and with The Jewish Theological Seminary to bring exciting programs to Great Neck, taught by some of today's greatest Jewish teachers and thinkers.

Social Actions
Midnight Run
Several times throughout the winter, the Gemilut Chesed Committee organizes Midnight Runs to bring clothes, toiletries, and other necessities to homeless men in New York City.
We collect and distribute warm men’s clothing such as pants, shirts, gloves, hats, long underwear, coats, underwear, and socks; blankets; and toiletries such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. We also prepare food to be distributed during the run.
Midnight Runs generally leave the Temple Saturday nights around 9:15 pm and return at about 2:00 am. Occasionally, Sunday morning runs are made which involve preparing and distributing breakfast.
Check the website calendar or the Temple Voice for upcoming Midnight Runs.
